Where did you grow up and what was your first language?

I grew up in New York City, Washington Heights, and my first language was Spanish. 

Where did you go to college?

I went to Laguardia Community College and graduated from Human Services Mental Health, and then graduated from Lehman College with a major of Sociology and a minor in Early Childhood Education.

What was your favorite book in middle school?

My favorite book was Hatchet by Gary Paulson. 

 

What is the best part of teaching at Hamilton Grange?

The best part of teaching in Hamilton Grange is having great communication amongst us teachers and staff. I love how we come up with different strategies on how we can help ourselves and help each other while keeping our focus on the kids educational and emotional needs. 

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not teaching?

My favorite thing to do when I am not teaching is meditating and doing yoga.
