Where did you grow up and what was your first language?

I grew up in San Francisco, California; my first language was English. 

What from your hometown do you wish you could find in New York City?

I wish I could find giant Northern California Redwood trees in NYC.

Where did you go to college?

The Evergreen State College (Olympia, Washington) and the City College of New York.

What was your favorite book in middle school?

My Side of the Mountain, by Jean Craighead George.

 

What is the best part of teaching at Hamilton Grange?

The best part of teaching at Hamilton Grange is being part of a diverse community of talented, creative students and dedicated progressive teachers.

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not teaching?

I love to create my personal art through drawing and painting.
